The Internet is in fact, dying.

You're constantly bombarded by "things you didn't know you needed," LLM-generated slop, algorithms that prioritize your time-spent on their apps, corporations that track you for fun, people that convince you that these things are okay, and a lot more.

Not here.

This place is the safe-haven for "based" opinions concerning the internet, technology, and society. Its "based[dot]observing" because that is what I am -- an observer. Sometimes right, but can be wrong more often than not. It's fine. It is human to err.

I will probably turn this into some sort of community-run site of sorts, but that's later.
